A page is a single section of your website, like Home, About, or Services. Foundation includes up to 8 pages, perfect for small contractors. Framework offers 100 pages, ideal for portfolios and subdomains. Blueprint’s 500 pages suit complex sites with multiple projects or locations.
  • How much storage do I need for my website?
Storage holds your website’s files (e.g., images, videos). Foundation’s 2GB supports small sites with photos. Framework’s 50GB is ideal for portfolios with project galleries. Blueprint’s 100GB suits large sites with extensive media or e-commerce. Most construction businesses thrive with Framework’s 50GB.
  • What does "Responsive Design" mean?
Responsive design means that whatever device your site visitor uses, the page is rendered perfectly for them to have a great viewing experience whether they're on a desktop, tablet or smartphone. Websites4Construction takes great care to achieve a perfect viewing experience.
  • Can I have my social media accounts linked to the website?
We we can do that. We would need you to add W4C as a collaborator on your pages such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. We can even pull in content from your channel straight into the site. Make sure you mention this to us when we're planning your site.
  • What are portfolios, and how do they help my construction business?
Portfolios are visual galleries showcasing your projects (e.g., renovations, builds). Included in Framework and Blueprint, they highlight your work with photos and descriptions, attracting clients in Somerset and beyond. We optimise them for SEO to boost local visibility.
  • What is SEO, and what does “advanced SEO” mean in the Blueprint package?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helps your website rank higher on Google, driving more clients to your construction business. All packages include basic SEO (e.g., meta tags, image optimisation). Blueprint’s advanced SEO adds further keyword research, backlink building, and analytics to maximise your online visibility.
  • Can you link to my Google Business page?
If you have a Google Business Page and in particular with positive reviews and ratings, we actively encourage you to share that with us. We'll make sure that the reviews are shown on your website.
  • What does “web design” include in your packages mean?
Our web design includes a custom, mobile-friendly website tailored to your construction business, with visuals and basic SEO (meta tags, alt text). Higher tiers (Framework, Blueprint) add portfolios, subdomains, and other more advanced features.
  • What is hosting, and why is it included for one year?
Hosting keeps your website online and accessible 24/7. All our packages include one year of reliable hosting, tailored to your needs. After the first year, hosting renews. You will be alerted one month prior to your hosting having to be renewed by email.
  • What is a domain, and what does “free domain for one year” mean?
A domain is your website’s address (e.g., averycarpentry.co.uk). Our packages include a free domain for the first year, which we register for you. After the first year, you can renew it for a small fee (typically £10-£20/year) or transfer it to another provider.
  • Are there any hidden costs?
No, all costs are outlined in our agreement upfront; additional services like extra revisions or premium features will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
  • What are your payment terms?
For website development, we require a 50% deposit to start, with the balance due upon completion or within 30 days; maintenance packages are invoiced quarterly in advance, due within 7 days.
  • What happens if I miss a payment?
Late payments may disrupt hosting services, but we’ll reinstate them once the full balance is paid; contact us at eugenio@blackdownit.co.uk if you face issues.
